The room view is garden and then beach. Beach access is private to guests, with all facilities (towel,shower etc). Food is very good, amazing Indian, continental, English vegetarian fresh options. Pool was clean, spa is a whole ambience in itself. Game zone was also fun and well maintained. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

We especially enjoyed our days at the Taj Bentota Hotel in Bentota. The hotel has basically brought expectations, there are minor gaps which I will detail below. We were pleased that despite the oceanfront location, the waves are an experience for bathing and for beginners, these smaller waves are enough (Weligama, for example, is more for advanced surfers). Advantages: - nice pool area overlooking the ocean - both sections of the beach are beautiful and clean with real tropical vegetation, - delicious and varied dinner (HB), where in addition to getting to know the local flavors we could also meet international dishes, the desserts were also very delicious - large room (36 m2) with very good layout, separate wardrobe and plenty of storage space - polite and helpful staff - TUKK-TUKKAL is easy to explore the area

Breakfast options are excellent and of high quality, even the other meals and cocktails that we bought were of a high standard, we really enjoyed it although it becomes expensive to eat there everyday, it would be nice if dinner was included, this is the only reason we spent the next 2 days in another hotel that was all inclusive. Upgraded rooms are excellent , modern and fresh, staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The breakfast buffet was very good, though we felt that the fruits spread could have been much better. We also didn't see cheese in the breakfast buffet on any of the days which was surprising. The dinner buffet was excellent - we enjoyed the dinner buffet on most nights. In fact chose to eat at the hotel for dinner because the child and we were so pleased by the options in the spread. The 400 series rooms (one of which we stayed in) are located very well because they provide very quick access to the main restaurant, the recreational terrace, the pool as well as the beach. A special shout out to chef Dilip and his team for taking amazingly good care of us - we were thoroughly spoilt. The team at the bar were truly AMAZING too - we visited them every night for great conversations and amazing cocktails - they were great with our kid too. The housekeeping staff was so sweet with their special towel made animals that they left for our child in the room everyday! And finally the front desk team guided us superbly with all the fun things to do in Bentota during our week long stay.

The staffs were very welcoming. The highlight of our stay was the pool and beach area. The resort itself is expansive and stunning, with a particularly gorgeous garden. We were not impressed with the buffet but found the a la carte options to be good.

Beautiful pool with great views over the coconut trees and long beach, amazing food (especially breakfast and also dinner at The Shack), a wonderful spa which is hidden away in a peaceful tropical jungle, but most of all the staff were absolutely fantastic.

Our stay at Taj Bentota from 7th to 11th November had been exceptionally memorable. There were various factors like food and over all ambiance Taj is known for but what made all the difference was people who made sure you are special and comfortable at every step. I want to specially mention Mr KIran who knowing that we are here on our 40th anniversary upgraded our room to a great level. At the Palms we had Sam & Dalip who made serving of every meal special with his warm attitude. Manjula kept askingus about the cousine. And always at hand to help and our room boy Sachit who made sure our presidential suit was warm and welcoming every time we entered it. Thank you Taj we would carry the wonderful memories for a life time !

There are many Things to remember: The beautiful nestling of the Resort around the rocks centred by the phantastic Pool ovelooking the sea and the tropical Garden. Special to mention Sam who helpt us to navigate through the excelent breakfast Buffet by the pool. Also to mention the rooms boys who cared for the room daily with an additional check evening with every day, a different bed decoration. Thank you

Location , cleanliness, food is amazing , service is top notch , staff is polite, swimming pool is clean - intact name anything it's all good... If you have a kid then no worries this place is heaven. They go extra miles to make your stay a memorable one.I have a one year old travelling with me and believe me I was not bothered about her food .My every request pertaining to my baby was politely attended. Taj is a Taj no wonder .
